Elvis Depressedly – the duo of Matt Cothran and Delaney Mills – are reissuing ‘Holo Pleasures‘ – their rare 2013 EP, along with a previously unreleased EP from the same timeframe. It follows ‘New Alhambra‘, their first record since signing to Run For Cover.
The new EP (titled ‘California’ Dreamin‘) has been described as a companion rather than a sequel to ‘Holo Pleasures‘, and with new single ‘Slip‘, it’s a seemingly fitting description. While the track’s bright synth interludes and bouncing scarceness deliver a sharper tone, Cothran’s way for embodying melancholic haze remains.
Elvis Depressedly are heading over to the UK in June for a tour, including a date at Bristol’s Crofters Rights on the 13th. View all the dates and listen to ‘Slip’ below:
